How do you get to dan level and still play tengen in this situation?

what kind of luck do you have in your games batts? How did you get an opponent that worked with your plans so well? Whenever I go for influence, my opponents take it away fast. we usually go into a dragon game or a fighting game with little groups running around in the middle...or just connecting groups.
I don't get too many opponents who give me the insane influence you got in the first game here.

Wasnt S15 an overplay by black? I mean b could have given up p18 later in the game, but before that w could have exploited a lot there.
