Don't be so excited about numbers, it's not a easy journey to be one of them. Believe me it takes times and your continuous efforts.

As a Full Stack Developer for more than 3 years, I see that these numbers are the reality for senior professionals in USA. Here in Europe, companies cry to pay more than 60k yearly, even for senior professionals.

He forgot to tell you that you need to work very hard and stay motivated. Programming is not easy. All in all consistency is key.

There's no way you can become a full stack developer in 3 months. It's close impossible to learn everything that is regarded as full stack in such a short amount of time.

It will not take you that time, it will take that time for people who fit to that role. This is a huge difference.

I was self taught for years, after hundreds of applications, I couldn't get a job despite being fully ready on front end. I ended up doing a bootcamp, the best bootcamp I've ever seen, got trained in full stack from them for 4 months and got a job. In total it was probably around 5 years. I gave up several times due to life and career stuff going on. It just didn't seem necessary. But alas, I eventually fell in love with code and HAD to make it my life. I dont regret those 5 years but please don't quit your job and try to rush it in one year.

Because of such videos beginners get frustrated when they don't find 10 k in their bank account after watching a udemy course :)

Just FYI, absolutely doesn't matter what type of software you do. It only matters what level of software eng you are and what company you work for.

Interns at Google make $100k, new hires make around $180k for any type of software.

A mid level dev at a major tech company is going to hover around $300k. High level software leads at the best companies can make between $500k and a little over $1million. And these are not presidents or CTOs. They are just staff and principle engineers with lots of tech knowledge.

An average company will pay a software manager at least $180k-$250k. And I am talking a basic software eng with a team of around 6 people.

All the quoted numbers of averages are a bit of a joke compared to what people in the industry actually gets paid.

A CTO working for $160k is working for peanuts and is likely working for a startup with a large amount of equity in the company hoping to make millions off a buy out or going public.

Honestly if anyone can pull off the skills and the knowledge of a full stack dev in 6 months, they probably deserve it though.

Guys I’ve been working hard to try and become a developer for 2 years, still probably another 6 months out from getting my first developer job. Granted, I do have a full time job, but even with that, I’m studying 2-4 hours a day. It’s definitely possible to do it in 3-6 months, but it’s not reality for most people who don’t want to quit their job.

If I'm building the next YouTube I'll be expecting a lot more than 100k

The last one… I don’t know know if Chief Technology Office counts as a programming job. 😅 It is a Management Position in Tech. Just sounds a bit weird. It is like you would list Junior Developer and Senior Developer.

I got offered a position at a fairly small firm for CTO and it was $400k. Larger firms are double or triple that. I've yet to meet a CTO that makes less than $200k, unless it's a brand new start-up.
