You know, I want to really thank you for doing the in-depth reviews you do. Buying 360 equipment isn’t cheap, and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the unbiased material you produce. You show not only the good, but also any negatives, so we can make an informed purchasing decision. The One R is looking like my next 360 camera!

I’ve been using an “ancient” Samsung Gear 360 1st gen camera forever. I just love the little guy, but I’m also very excited to upgrade it. It looks like the One R might be the perfect upgrade (mainly because of the upcoming ability for me to shoot in a new format, 180 VR). I did have a question though, regarding taking 360 photos by hand, or in my case, by baseball cap mount. I’ve always had to use a tripod to get any kind of usable 360 photo with my Gear 360.

So, I have a baseball cap with a mount that I use to walk and take 360 video. Though it is shaky, if I walk slow enough, I can get an ok result. But I found I couldn’t take still 360 photos, standing or sitting, with my baseball cap mount, because the body naturally shakes, even if you’re very still. So, in your opinion, if I was to mount the One R on the baseball cap (it uses the same mounting hardware as the One R), if I sat down somewhere very still, even at night, could I take good still photos without dragging out my tripod? This info would be very helpful.

Now the only thing left before I make a final purchase is wait for your review of the One R’s 180 VR capabilities. If this baby does that well, this is a must buy for me!

Great video. Now I really am torn. Qoocam 8k definitely seems to have better potential as a capture then reframe with the higher res, and we know it's decent in low light, but the workflow and AI definitely seems better with the One R.
