I just removed and installed the alternator on my 92 accord. Biggest pain in the ass I've ever experienced since I started working on cars in 1965. I wouldn't try it again for less than $200.

How tight should the belt be when you replace the alternator?

Alot of 10mm nuts on a Honda. Invest in a good ratchet set and a magnetic pickup. My ex has a 92 and I worked on it only because she didn't want to pay a mechanic.

This and that instead of mounting bolt, mounting nut, adjusting bolt, retaining bolt.

Only saw disassembly and removal. Installation? Tightening belt??

10 years on since this video premiered. Maybe my two cents ain’t even worth it. But this is a nothing burger attempt. Poor explanation and bad video resolution. Adaquate for the time it was made? Eh.
