Kali or Parrot - Which is Better to Learn On?

Kali Linux and Parrot Security OS are both Debian-based security operating systems focused on cybersecurity and ethical hacking, coming pre-installed with many useful hacking tools.

When it comes to which is better, as usual, it depends. Each has tradeoffs, but in general, Kali Linux has a lot of support for troubleshooting and documentation that make learning on it easy.

Parrot is pretty but it's slower and buggy especially with any older MacBooks with Intel Processors. Kali is the most used Pen-Testing distro for a reason. It's updated often and is extremely reliable.

parrot teaming up with HTB might improve the community for parrot over kali. And it might be a better option for learning.

Very true, I am watching this video right now, because I have decided to get a 16gb ram stick so i have 24gb in all
Go back to linux mint which i am using live from a usb right now(i'm in love with it obviously, though i've been using kali and parrot for a year)
Give a parrot or kali vm 8gb of ram whenever it comes on, and do every other thing in mint.

EDIT: I am currently learning Active Directory Pen-testing and my goodness is Parrot such a pain for most of the tools, apart form the tools that came preinstalled, you might need to be installing lots of github repos, have problems with pip, and just troubleshoot unnecessarily. Meanwhile with Kali, these tools are somehow available with sudo apt install
Besides Linux mint is more beautiful than both so yeah, i think linux mint as my daily driver, and Kali as my attack vm, No hard feelings to parrot, it's pretty amazing too

kali has more frequent os & kernel updates than parrot. parrot has more substantial changes to itself per major update. parrot looks better to me aesthetically out of the box. but the latest & greatest updates go for kali.
