George Benson doesn't need The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame needs George Benson.

3:45 HOLY SHIT how deep of a moment this was, giving the drummer a hint to keep down his fancy hi-hats to not disturb the entrance of Carlos solo, to give him even more space. Because it's fucking Carlos Santana, you don't have that chance every day. Such a HUGE display of control and skill, all the while he's smiling and looking at Carlos - AMAZING Musicianship.

I love George… he can play circles around anyone but he never does. He’s humble, gentleman like, an ambassador of peace and a national treasure.
God bless the great master of music, George Albert Benson!!!

Everyone deserves to have a partner who can give them that look the way Benson looks at Santana

Carlos playing "Breezin'" the Santana way. Beautiful and signature.

I believe George and Carlos had never played together before this gig. They may have started a little tentatively, but by the end it looked (and sounded!) like they were having an absolute blast trading fours and then finishing out those last choruses. What a treat.

At 35 years of age I feel incredibly lucky to have seen both of these wonderful musicians live. How amazing it must have been to see them play together!

Bobby Womack wrote this piece and George Benson played it on his album " Breezin"

Always loved both of them, just real different styles
One has toussant l overture, aqua marine, jingo; the other shape of things to come, this masquerade, nature boy
Will be listening to this duet for some time to come....
Thank you for the upload

I've always believed George Benson and Carlos Santana should have recorded an album together back in 1976.
Sadly, it never happened!
"Breezin'" was written by Bobby Womack.
Gabor Szabo recorded his version in 1971 with Bobby Womack and inspired Carlos to record his interpretation of Breezin' as "Song Of The Wind" on Santana's Spiritual "Caravanserai" album in 1972.
George Benson recorded and released his version in 1976 on the Breezin' album which was a big hit.

I'm a big fan of both of these guys and have several of their lp's in my collection. I love both of these brothers and we are blessed that they are still with us.🙏👍

An under-appreciated collaboration between two great guitarists who are still out there doing it.

What I loved about this is they took a try at playing each others style. Suddenly Carlos wants to shred and George wants to play the cool blues licks. It worked out perfect

Would love to see these legends do this one more time. They both still have it.

The first few notes instantly transported me waaay back to 1977 when I saw George Benson in SF along with Miss Minnie Ripperton as the opening act! The 70's were the BEST decade for popular music ❤❤❤

These are the kind of performance that we can never forget and never get tired of. Very entertaining and fun to listen to.
