I watched this message several days ago, and as a gardener this struck me in a unique way. The kind of way, only God could have positioned me to receive. I live on a dry continent (Australia) and tried to grow a garden during the last 7 year drought. It was my mission to succeed, because I know God called me to this land. So I had to learn how to grow in the desert.

Wicking beds are a strategy to conserve water for plants, so they can grow in the desert. It's an artificial system but uses simple principles. It involves a water reservoir (underneath) and a soil layer above. They're called wicking beds, because plants can draw from the water underneath, instead of receiving water from above. As moisture is often lost to evaporation on the surface.

Today, I read a Youtube comment, under a wicking bed tutorial. They asked - "how does the water wick up into the soil, if there is no wicking material between the soil and the water?" Without thinking, I replied, "it's always the plants job to do the wicking, not the soil. A plants entire design is made to draw up things from the soil, via their roots. The plant is the middle man, between the heavens and the earth, to create the exchange for fruit."

Bam! It suddenly hit me. Men walking as trees. I have seen it modelled in the relationship between plants, heaven and earth, during dry seasons before. Everything is lost on the surface. It won't survive. But our entire design (if we perceive ourselves as plants) is to facilitate the exchange between heaven and earth nevertheless, for fruit development in lacking seasons. We draw up (wick) things from the earth, that came down from heaven in a prior season - Joseph anyone - and then we steward so people and communities can still prosper.

Men walking as trees, are the middle-men performing their divine function, that we see modelled by trees/plants on the earth. Middle-men between heaven and earth. Not controlling but stewarding for the exchange to continue nevertheless.

One of the most profound Words I've ever heard. Word for word depicting exactly what i have gone through and how it felt and how I reacted. It can only be indeed a download from heaven. I've gone through this process exactly 6 years since 2017 (I blamed God and I even stopped talking to Him) and eventually went back... and 2022 being the hardest and harshest of the storms I've endured...where not only the strong wind came with rain but with thunder too, with lightening too and with snow; I didn't have the language for it and today Pastor Roo gave it to me "a violent disturbance" and truly it is by God's grace we are not consumed and proof that storm doesn't come to kill you hard hard hard hard hard as it was. I believe I am in the sickle season. Thank you for the caution... not for me just to shine but to serve my fruit. Thank you Pastor Roo; you truly do burn for heaven for us all to see even all the way from South Africa where I am. Thank you. May you be blessed always.
