When it comes to the stems format, does every controller work with Traktor? We go through Native Instruments' stems files and the Traktor Kontrol F1 in particular, along with other possibilities. Right on time sir!!!! I just switched BACK to Traktor. I still have a Numark 4Trak that I almost can't give away... LOL! Anyway, I bought the F1, X1 and Z1 cause I wanted to challenge myself with a newer way to DJ along with the DDJ-SX I have which is Serato based. I truly appreciate this video and I do understand this process quite a bit better. Manuals are good for detailed things but these YouTube videos from different folks are the WAY TO GO!!!! Nice one Phil, still relevant info in 2024, goes to show the f1 has staying power.
Got a K2 but wanted a more specialised controller for remix deck, like new for £100, never been plugged in. Cheers for the info to get going easier.

Thanks for the info Phil.  I was really curious how the F1 would work with this format without the visual. Definitely the most inexpensive way to start and get this working. Very good info here!

Great video, thanks. One thing I noticed is that you don't have to hit shift to send effects, you only need to hit shift to see which stems the effects are active on.

Is there somewhere mapping for Kontrol F1 like the one used in this video? Separating: kick, vocal etc. from audio track is very cool, but I don´t know how to mapp it to my own controller...does someone have the solution?

So wait, you can just load any track you want and stems will automatically know how to remove vocals, drums, ect.? Does that mean you could essentially record an accapella or instrumental off any song?

Nice! But they really should add a visual feedback in the Traktor Software as soon as possible - maybe in Traktor Pro 3 :)

Dumb question:
Can I just use the F1 as a sample trigger while playing tracks and mixing with the X1 and Z1? Or would there be an easier way to do that? I'm not keep on jumping to the computer so if could could have it all loaded up, that would be awesome.

also the xone k1 should work find for the stems
