Learn the difference between remix decks and stem decks in Traktor Pro 3. These two deck types are very powerful and provide a lot of creativity. They can be fully taken advantage of on the Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 however they're also available with other Traktor controllers such as the Kontrol S2 MK3.

I’ve to say that the STEMS idea brought many many years ago by N.I. Was much better, sound quality wise, than the life stems of today. In the past everyone snobbed NI stems but now everyone wants stems. My prediction? Once people will be fed up of playing like crazy with the new toy, we will go back to proper stems!

Can you control the Stems (bass, drums, chord, vocals) with pads on a Traktor Kontrol S3 Mk3? Traktor currently doesn't have Stems feature like Serato so, where or how do you get Stems for Traktor?

thats a dope controller! im super ready to step up the game and upgrade the entry level controller i have. i have advanced to the point it's boring to even use it because i can't do things that i want to do so i have my eye on that S4 MK3

If you want to be more creative, traktor is the best, not really required to buy the S4, you can use other controllers as long as it is mappable.

Thanks so much for sharing this demo, great stuff! So if I got this right, the software will automatically split the songs into its individual tracks when operating within the stems mode, right? Or will I have to use a song format that already has the information about the individual tracks in it, if that makes sense? Maybe someone can help me here. Thanks in advance!

Hi Great Video!
I've been practicing on Serato lite for about a year now with a DDJ SB3 and was about to upgrade to Serato pro when I heard about the Remix/Stem decks function for Traktor.

Which made me think about switching over. I'm more focused on playing dance music so I got really excited when I found out about this function.

What's your opinion on switching over in this situation? Are these functions worth switching over for?

Any opinions or suggestions from Serato or Traktor users would be greatly appreciated!

What’s a good controller you would recommend for a beginner, who also wants to learn how to use the remix, and stem deck?

Currently have a Pioneer DDJ-400, and looking into upgrading to a 4-channel controller soon. Debating between NI+Traktor vs Pioneer+Rekordbox. The main thing I see in NI+Traktor's favor is the functionality of Remix & STEM Decks. Do y'all think it is worth jumping over to NI+Traktor for that functionality? Is there a way to mimic either functionality in Pioneer+Rekordbox? And I guess the ultimate question, does it make sense to stick with Pioneer+Rekordbox despite the lack of those types of functionality, or should I make the jump to NI+Traktor??
