The express pass being expensive is what makes it work so well. Less people buy it because they can't afford it or don't feel like it's wise to pay for it. Because less people will buy it, less people will be in the line. Also, if Hagrid's was on Express, many people who don't want to buy it will suddenly think it's a good value and the Express lines for the other rides will get longer cause more people will get it (again, because they now find it a worthy value).

All you 100% disabled vet/retired military/current military: you can get a season pass to Universal for $110/person! You just gotta get it on base at the MWR/outdoor recreational facility. Each base may have different hours and different ways to receive the season pass (online/via mail or email). It saves a bunch of money if you visit universal at least twice a year.

An absolute must do for kids and adults alike that most people just walk by without thinking is Camp Jurassic! You have to explore the caverns and enjoy some great A/C while walking through a literal "jungle" gym.

Dudley-Do-Right and Popeye are MUSTS in Orlando heat. Go ahead, get drenched. After the ride, you will enjoy a little over one hour of relative cool.

True. Going at Christmas and it was cheaper to stay at the Hard Rock with free Express pass for our family of 4 than to buy Express pass separately and stay off property.

When you're tired and hot from walking around in the Florida heat, take a break (while continuing the fun) by watching a show. Personal recommendation from me is The Bourne Stuntacular, right at the front of Studios. A tip for this show is not to sit in the first few rows, as the seats dip down a bit too low to see over the front ledge of the stage. If you're at Isles, I recommend seeing the Animal Actors show, in-between E.T. and Krustyland. This one is a little campy and dated in its tone, but that's what gives it its charm in my opinion. Reminds me of watching Pet Star back in the day on Animal Planet.

P.S. all the freestyle machines dispense ice and water free of charge, so feel free to bring an empty water bottle/jug. Or 2. Or 50. Maybe don't bring 50.

So happy y'all plan to cover Epic Universe since I am waiting for that to open before going to Universal. I am in my 'pre-planning' stage. That bit about bags and drinks is helpful. Definitely plan on staying at a resort for sure and a big reason is that early access into the parks.

Yeah, you're right! We booked up Orlando for next May a few months ago... and today I just bought the park tickets. We land the day after Epic opens!! I always do Universal, haven't done Disney since 1989 lol

You missed one key piece of information about the Rising Star Karaoke Club. It is Karaoke where you sing with a Live band. You got a guitar, bass, drum, keyboards and 3 background singers. And they sound like they came off the recording but it is all live. The most fun Karaoke I have ever tried.
