I made the mistake of being insured by Allstate. A micro-burst tornado blew down a section of my barn, which I had confirmed was insured by the agent, and Allstate refused to pay for repair, pointing to some gobbledygook in the fine print.

I was an Allstate customer for 35 years, home and auto. A hail storm in Omaha destroyed my roof and Allstate wouldn't pay for it. I had to go through four rounds of arbitration, which I won every time, before they eventually paid up. They'll never get another dime of mine.

I just switched to Allstate from State Farm for auto. Let's hope I'm not disappointed. You never know if your insurance is any good UNTIL you have to file a claim.

DO NOT GET IF YOU HAVE AN RV! Mine was broken into, what was stolen and or broken, i was told it was my "personal property". The couch cushion, the side window screen, and the ignition.
