Modern IKEA Bed Frame. Is It Right For You?

This modern classic and clean looking bed frame is called the Gladstad. In this IKEA bed frame review, I'll be going into depth so you can see if it's right for you. The Gladstad is upholstered in 100% polyester but most of that is recycled. This keeps the price more affordable as the fabric is of cheaper quality. In regards to the headboard, I found it somewhat soft when i was leaning my head on it. The foam in the headboard is of cheaper quality so you shouldn't expect it to keep its original firmness for too long especially in the spot you lean your head on. I also noticed that the Gladstad's headboard moves back and forth a bit. Im not really surprised at this affordable price point. When I was testing the stability of this IKEA bed frame, I noticed that there was minimal side to side movement. When I tested the back and forth movement, I noticed some swaying and squeaking. This could be a one off but overall, for the price, it's pretty fair for what you get out of this modern IKEA bed frame.

I had this bedframe- the wood slats break after a year or so of use especially if you sit on the edge of your bed like literally everybody on planet earth does, it is very noticeable when you are sleeping. I switched to a full metal bedframe after buying this, there is just no reason to use wood as a support if you also have a boxspring underneath your mattress imo. The advantages are far outweighed by the disadvantages, and in turn makes this an unusable product for anyone with a love life

to be fair, i found it quite expensive for how flimsy it is, i own a bed quite sturdy and rarely moves back and forth considering it has wheels and this one doesn't, and it cost me like half the price of this one, ikea is expensive considering how people say is not
