did you know that octopuses are extremely devoted mothers? Sadly they can only produce one clutch of eggs and will die before she can see the babies hatch. Very fascinating animals.

I'm terrified of spiders but I love these little guys, 8 appendages and all. They don't scurry or skitter, they just bob and float and stroll. Plus they have big funny brain (which is actually their entire body, neat).
Also the little guy in the bottom left is a chad. "I don't need friends; they disappoint me."
