I paid 290 euros for mine and the first time I used it at sea, after 4-5 casts, the plastic under the spool fell out of its seat. ...The spool no longer moved up and down, but instead spun in one place, creating a hump on the wound nylon...I had to cut off the stray nylon to put the plastic back in place, and after returning home it started going up and down again. I don't know yet if that piece of plastic under the spool is the culprit, but I'll have to go back to the sea to test it again. Until there were problems, it worked smoothly, but I've never had such problems with the Daiwa Emblem 45 surf, although it seems gentler. It's too early for me to rate the reel, but for now it doesn't justify the price... maybe it will improve over time when everything falls into place and is worked out. I also use Penn Okuma and Daiwa so I'm not a fan boy for any brand
