It still amazes me how Shimano insists on these Big Pit cranes when people are interested in more compact reels, medium sized, reliable and easy to use, with 5500 Spool, NOT 14000 wheels, with features like Baitrunner, and with automatic trigger the Bail Arm when we turn the handle, NOT manually, because it's disgusting.
In the near future, Shimano will develop a chassis for these Big Pit cranes to replace the rods and the spools of the reels will have the index in inches, like car rims because of the dimensions and the barrows for transporting fishing gear will be used just to transport these Big Pit cranes, because we can't put anything else next to them.
An ideal reel would be the Baitrunner X-Aero 4000 FA, but the 4000 Spool should be replaced with a 5500 Spool.
Or
Ultegra Ci4+ Medium 5500 XTD/XTC with Baitrunner and automatic trigger the Bail Arm when turn the handle.
