Hello! My name is Vasilisa. I hail from Vladivostok, Russia, where I was born and lived until the age of 23. After that, I spent several years residing in various Asian cities such as Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, and Bali. Your trip to the grocery was quite interesting. Barely could we watch at an assortment and prices somewhere out of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg on Youtube. Brilliant job, Lisa!✌😀

It's kind of like that in the USA too. In Alaska and Hawaii stuff like milk, cheese, and frozen pizzas are way more expensive than in the lower 48 states.

I love that different regions of Russia have different brands. Makes things more interesting.
Also, that logo looks like the apple is surfing.😊

Interesting video, it is the logistic that make the difference in prices. Easier logistic and higher population work good for Moscow. I live in a small village and in local shop the prices are also lot higher then in the city supermarkets. You look wonderful, full of energy.

Hi Vasilisa. I loved your live Q&A especially as you answered my question. It was a real thrill to connect with you from UK to Vladivostok.
I hope your epic train journey back to Moscow goes brilliantly.

Specify the quantitative parameter of the product. Foreigners have no idea that this is the price for one piece, for 10 eggs (in the USA there are packages of 12 eggs- dozen), for 100 grams, for 1 kilogram, for a gallon, for a pint, for a pound. Moreover, for the average American, the concept of 1 kilogram or 1 meter does not mean anything (just noise from the mouth) - they are absolutely not familiar with the metric system of weights and measures (there are still miles, gallons, pounds, inches, etc.).

My way of transforming ramen noodles from salt water to something resembling a nutritious meal is to beat an egg and add it to the soup.
