It boils down to jealousy and fear that US TikTok users will be influenced to appreciate China's world views.

I'm more and more confident that American's era is ending very soon.

It's not about national security. It's about jealousy and hubris. Just can't stand the fact that their social media dominance is being challenged by an app coming from China, a country which they are doing everything they can to contain.

They are pure evil as usual. They want to own tiktok by blatantly robbing the company. That's it. They have been doing this for more than 200 years.

When a bully gets jealous, he gets more vicious and irrational. Every shadow is a threat to it.

China should ban Starbucks and KFC based on national security. The stores could be bugged by the CIA.

Whatever the US cannot compete with is a threat; Huawei, Tik Tok, CHINA and soon even Shein. Hilarious.

This is just jealousy. How about Facebook, Youtube, Google, iPhone...furthermore, this is hypocritical.

“You are innocent until proven guilty” - does not apply to Chinese/foreign companies operating in the US. Hence, in order to survive in the US free market environment, foreign companies MUST NOT excel. Otherwise “You are guilty and no need to prove that you are innocent” will apply to your company.

All the countries around the world should ban FB, Insta, IG, for spying. FB and many had been slapped with crimes of selling customers data

US politicians work for the big Corps intereats and not for the citizens' interests
If people learns this fact then they'll understand every single US government's action

Weather balloons are a bigger threat to USA military than TikTok. LOL.

Then based on how they define "national security threat, " all countries should be banning the book of faces and even YT. Since they pose the greatest security threat to all nations. According to how they define it.

On a separate note, hope you are going well!!

Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla, among others, have found success in China. However, Facebook and Google have struggled to establish a presence in China due to their unwillingness to comply with Chinese laws and regulations.

I deleted my Facebook account for 2 years and had no regret. I joined FB since 2007 when it first established. But the hates and angers on Facebook bothers me. The news feed it fed me was totally annoying. Plus, it was listening to my convo. I joined Tik Tok to get away from all of the stuff Facebook did to me. And I have to say, Tik Tok didn’t listen to my convo. It does a good job though with happy contents. I am staying with Tik Tok until US bans it. Thought I can use VPN, but no. They will also ban VPN. US IS THE MASTER OF DICTATORSHIP. BETTER THAN ANY COUNTRIES THEY CLAIMED ARE.
