hi Douglas, that is a beautiful hoya and you, mentioned it has a strong fragrance, but is it easy to flower by amateur grower like me?

Hi Doug:
I recently cut off a complete runner off my Crimson Princess hoya because the leaves were all green. I did not want it because I read that they do flower but take too much
food from the mother plant. Did I do the right thing. Should I also leave the runners that are all white or cut them off too. I was told that they do not flower and take
too much food. Thank you, Loreta

Hi Doug.  Mary (in the comments) wondered about this hoya's fragrance - can you tell us what some of the other Hoyas smell like - I heard one smelt like cinnamon and  others chocolate and butterscotch.  My hoya carnosa bloomed here recently but no scent - I should have checked it after dark.
