That certainly is an unusual Hoya. But it looks so delicate, the flowers I mean, the scent seems to go with the flowers. You showed us another winner, thank you.

I've heard its pretty similar to Hoya ruthiae and with it I never hat any luck but here in Germany you can buy a lot of hoyas for not that much money. I ordered padangensis wit a length of 60cm for round about 35$ I'm really excited about it and I'll tell you my experiences with it.

Hi! Do you still have it? I just ordered this hoya, for some unknown reasons I like it, and I just found out it's not popular with hoya fans, it's rare and not easy to find, which makes it the most desirable for me.

Hey Doug. Did I miss you saying what its scent is? I watched the entire video, and no mention of the scent, but everyone says 'the scent seems to go with the flower'...so .. what is the scent like?

Do the leaves look like that, because of the plants 'lineage'? Or the way it is grown? And what makes it so hard to grow? I mean is it a humidity lover, sun lover, temp. hog?? Would I be able to grow it in south Fla. easier? Since it is 'tropical' here. More like the Padang region. Unlike your area.??

And is it available anywhere online, you know hoya growers? OR is it only from private grower trades, like you got this one? That unusual flower is worth the try at growing it...but would love to know its scent, and if it is available to buy anywhere, ...or is it pure luck to find?
Great plant, thanks Doug.
