In today's video, I'm going to show you how to extract dates from a text using the fastest way. Okay, let's jump right into the action. In the first example, we have dates in the text column. The main problem is that dates are in various formats and the text contains some extra spaces. Type the EXTRACTDATE function and add the argument which is the cell that contains the date. The function cleans up the data first, then converts all records to ISO date format. Press enter to get the result.

Let us see a more complex example. Now we have absolutely unusual date formats. The goal is the same: extract dates to a new column. Type the function and press enter to get the result.

Finally, here is a data-cleansing nightmare. In this case, the cell contains multiple dates. To separate dates into a new cell, use the second argument. I'm using a comma.
