How to Hack Boxed Cake Mix to Taste like Bakery Quality

Bakery-quality desserts don't always require an intensive list of ingredients and steps. In fact, you can hack a box of store-bought cake mix with some simple ingredient tweaks to make it taste as if you made it from scratch!

This brilliant idea takes the packaged dry mix and adds in additional eggs (more than what the box instructions call for) and swaps out vegetable oil with butter... actually, double the butter! These recipe enhancements result in a lighter, fluffier, and richer tasting cake that friends and family will swear you baked up from scratch.

For the icing on top of this bakery-style cake (quite literally!), we made a homemade buttercream chocolate frosting that is also super simple to whip up. This whole recipe is proof that you can hack store-bought dessert mixes to end up with a truly homemade-quality cake!

I know this is a older video but one suggestion I'd like to point out, if you use sour cream also it adds to make the cake more moist and decadent

Soooo I have questions, if you want it fluffy do u add an extra egg even if the box says 3 eggs or just the whites of them???
Im making the butter gold one of Duncan hines but I want if fluffy or at least higher, if that makes sense,
