Since most of the Linux administration practice is done in a virtual environment, I thought I should create a video about it, as I am aware that some students at my college struggle with it in their labs. Please let me know if I missed anything or did not explain anything clearly.

nice vid. have you tried creating an isolated network without using the gui virtual machine manager and using just virsh instead? i had not problem creating an isolated network using virtual machine manager but i wanted to create one using just virsh but my isolated network for some reason isn't getting an ip address. i compared my isolated network's xml vile to the xml file auto generated by virtual machine manager and it looks pretty much the same but no my kvm guest still is not getting an ip address from my isolated network.

Hi,

Good video..But as you have two network connections, default and isolated created in the host, how did the guest vm correctly pick up "isolated network" automatically ?

Thanks

hi,
i want to know that if these vms on isolated network can run internet on them OR can ping google.com or some other website through their host machine.
because all of the traffic from vm will now go through host machine.
if this is possible, please tell me how to configure it.
thanks
