Fedor Emelianenko participated in M-1 event for the second time. He had two-fight winning streak, with the victories against world class opponents, ADCC champion Jeff Monson and Olympic judo champion Satoshi Ishii.

Pedro Rizzo aka the Rock came to this fight having three-fight winning streak with the victories over Jeff Monson, Garry Goodridge and Ken Shamrock in his resume.

The Last Emperor vs the Rock, it was the biggest fight in Russian MMA in 2012. Let’s remember how this legendary battle went.

Pedro Rizzo was without training for two years when he got invited to this fight, as he explained in a interview recently. He knew he would lost, but fighting Fedor was his career dream. Why he fought, then? Because, in his words "if I connect one hook, I will enter MMA history".

You don't see that kind of attitude in fighters nowadays. Pedro, for all MMA fans, you are history.

Fedor Emilianenko el mejor de todos los tiempos no hay dudas de eso. Una leyenda del siglo. Y sobre todo cuando gana es muy humilde con sus adversarios, no es alaracosos como otros cuando ganan, eso lo hace aun mas grande.

Sua frieza chega ter carisma, soa contraditorio mas é como esplico sua postura em todas as lutas. Ele nunca precisou de trash talk para se promover, tornou-se ídolo em seu país e a maior lenda do esporte, não venceu somente os maiores e mais fortes da época mas tambem a lógica pois era considerado baixo para categoria e seu estereótipo físico não era nada atlético em comparação a maioria dos oponentes, ele literamente é um ponto fora da curva.
