This could easily be one of the greatest 100 songs of all time.

The Cure are one of the very few bands that can make me want a 7 minute song to be twice as long.

The older I get the more this song tears me up. The lyrics ring so true about the people we lose and his delivery is so haunting. But I still love to hear it.

They are such a great live band. It’s like we’re back in 1989. Robert sings like he’s 22.

It truly bothers me that no one in the comments have mentioned how great Simon Gallup's bass line is in this song. Simon Gallup is such an underappreciated bass player, and has wrote some of the most iconic bass lines in rock.

I am in my face, those times have been the best, no smartphone, no social media, real friends, Bla bla It will never come back, I am thankful that I had the luck to enjoy those times, born in 1964, people around this time of birth know what I am talking about. Thumbs Merry Christmas and a good 2025.... May all your dreams come true

One microphone on stage and Robert carries all of the vocals. No harmonies, no background vocals… just his pure and amazing voice. Just wow!

Absolutely enchanted by 'Pictures of You' from The Cure's iconic 1989 album 'Disintegration.' This track is a beautiful example of how simplicity in music can create profound emotional depth. It's built around a core set of four chords - A, E, D, G - that weave a repetitive, mesmerizing pattern throughout the song. What truly sets it apart, though, is not just the chords themselves, but the way The Cure layers these simple progressions with rich textures and atmospheric effects. The guitar work, bass lines, and percussion all intertwine to create a soundscape that's both haunting and deeply moving. It's a testament to the band's genius in crafting a sound that's complex in emotion yet straightforward in structure. This song isn't just about the chords; it's about how they're played and the mood they create. It's a perfect example of The Cure's ability to convey powerful feelings through seemingly simple musical choices.

This song is so magical. It transcends time. I always cry whenever I listen to this song. And I'm just 25, while this song is 30!
