The thing I like about exotic or near exotic cars is that it's like a preview of what's coming.  In about 6 to 12 years or so these will be the stats of their cheaper sports car at probably less than half the price.

Which of the various BMW tyre width options have you got for the track test as the basic option the tyres are very eco and thin and not much grip for a track day etc ?? !!

i don't think that this car is BMW's answer to Tesla because it's a hybrid and not a fully electric car. This car is BMW saying that hybrid don't have to be boring and lack style. The day they do answer Tesla, it will be known.

Does anyone notice the steering wheel design is exactly like 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees'? Did Chrysler invited BMW designer to design the 2014 JGC interior? I remember I read it somewhere.

It does have the same 0-60 acceleration as the Tesla Model S Performance trim, which is 4.4 seconds. However, BMW uses both gasoline and electric motors to achieve that time. If a person does heavy stop and go driving with this thing, then it will save more fuel, since premium gasoline is expensive including California and New York.

Wow! Seems like a lot of money for something with approximately the power of a C5 Corvette. I'm not a big fan of the "giving birth to a 911"-back end, but it's cool that more hybrid sports cars are being released.
