DOOM 1 in HD

A small teaser of my Doom Eternal/Doom 2016 HD sprites mod for Doom 1 & 2.
The idea is to imagine an HD version of Doom 1 and Doom 2 with weapons and monsters that are more similar to the classics (ex: Imps and Cyberdemon will be those of Doom Eternal, while the baron of hell will be the version of Doom 2016)
- This is a work in progress. Some things may change in the final version.
- My mod only consists of monsters and weapons. The textures of the levels, lighting and effects were added from some files of the canceled Doom remake 4 and Doom HD Texture pack (JUST TO MAKE THE VIDEO) They will not be present in the mod.

That feels incredibly cursed for some reason. There's just something about those HD textures draped over extremely low-poly geometry and the detailed 3D models reduced to low-framerate animated sprites that just... doesn't feel right. Makes me kinda uncomfortable. Like those HD texturepacks for Minecraft that just wrap a real photo of a cow over the blocky cow model.

The extra frames for the monster animations are the best part. Really makes them feel more alive.

I love this! Not usually too into remasters but the art in this is really great. I know some people don't like this kind of thing but this is the first HD Doom I've seen that I'd say doesn't look too awkward
