I don’t think there's a solid line where "old Roblox" becomes "new Roblox". 2006 is to 2015 what 2015 is to 2024. And 2020 is already noticeably different from how Roblox currently is, but I don’t think anyone would call it old. I think most people refer to old Roblox as an era instead of a constantly changing time period relative to the present day. 2016 is definitely not modern, though.

Here's a bit of a thing that's very unknown to most of the community even to people from that period (I'm from the may 2011 period):

There was a setting around 2011-2012 which actually was official and allowed you to change the website theme to the classic 2010 website theme remain on the navy blue theme. This was because both websites at the time were very identical in layout and likely was a parallel conversion to phase in the new website style. This was before roblox+ because R+ only allowed OBC theme as a toggle or the easter theme (for it's fan-made egg hunt which was just the 2015 website theme but with eggs on the banners).

21:08 - your guess is somewhat correct? shedletsky is responsible for creating some of the most important features of the engine like character animation, the embedded scripting language and 3d graphics but he never quite had full control over everything

fire army created by reverse_polarity, and the common misconception that darksilver2's place is the first obby is a rumor made by youtuber and child enthusiast konekokitten

I remember the John Doe hoax that went around scared me so badly when I was in elementary school because I had (and still kinda do have) an irrational fear of losing all my stuff in a game. Fact: lifetime builders club still exists, people who own it still had builders club even when purchasing it was removed, and yes, when builders club turned into premium, it was lifetime if you bought it
