I love Bear (alpha) so much. I feel like it's so underrated probably because it barely gets updated anymore with actual new features. The amount of lore behind it is so cool and is what keeps me a fan of it because of how much there is. But in my opinion ever since Bear* was released the game sort of died away and lost the popularity it had. Now it just barely gets 1k players. The game has so much potential too, but unfortunately I don't know if it will ever be as popular as it used to be. Regardless, this game will always have a special place in my heart

the episodes aren’t about Japanese legends or stories, they’re each about surviving / trying to kill one of the 4 monsters (they kill the one who torments them with other monsters).
And the monsters are the ones relating to japanese myths / legends. They are based off Japanese yokais and legends (some arent. such as Kaito.)
each book is about a different monster among the 4 monsters (control, jealousy, rage, rebirth)

"a roblox horor gaem" scared me so bad a few years back, especially when out of the corner of my eye I caught the two white eyes staring at me from around the corner. The whole premise was really creative, and the game was honestly ahead of its time. Definitely one of my favorites.

A long-ish time ago there was a game called Silent Dark. It was easily one of the best horror games on the platform. Sadly however, the game no longer works due to the fact that the scripts aren’t up to date. There are 2 recreation I know of that are really good, one is a remastered version while the other is much closer to the original.

Absolutely love this idea, I feel like Roblox horror give a very unique twist compared to everything else in the context of games. Either that or I just played too much as a kid- but that can't be, right?

it's kind of sad seeing now that horror games ( or any genre of games ) aren't as creative as before and there are huge signs of that when the camping day survival story games appeared
everybody started just copying each other and making the same game with a different look/story or when piggy became popular everyone just basically made a reskin and now with mimic most games are just like mimic good models but decent story writing and most of the time you have to go through a maze.

A pretty neat game i loved was called "silent dark". Unfortunately the game has broken due to roblox changing the way games are coded, so it's unplayable. It was an episodic horror game, and it creeped me out a lot.

The Haunted Staircase is a game one of my friends introduced me to. Its very simplistic, just walking down like a thousand stairs, but very very unsettling and the buildup for a random chance jumpscare is crazy. I also came across the Smile game (with zalgo text) while recording a Roblox video with a friend that led us down the catalog of horror games made by the same person. Idk much about the whole thing but im pretty sure a game called M U G E N is basically the home for all the horror games. Very obscure and abstract

The first game to do it is actually "Survival the Jeff The Killer" made by Caetanoazambuja in April 13, 2018 it accumulated 221.6 million visits but the game has been changed into the default starter place for unknown reasons

Build to survive the zombies is such a classic. It used to be one of my favorite games and I'd play it for hours lol.

There's this one horror game from 2020, The haunted staircase.
This game is based off "SCP-087". In the haunted staircase, you are a test subject that was chosen for testing. You will have to go down the stairs until you find a white figure somewhere around floor 200 (300 if you are unlucky)
At start, the staircase is brighter and your flashlight is more effective. But at deeper floors, it gets more and more darker making you almost unable to see and flashlight has almost no effect.
There are three monsters:
The first one. When you encounter it, just dont look at it. It's that simple, but you can get scared if you didn't expect a jumpscare.
The second monster. Your character will say " i feel like something is watching me " or something. If your character said that, dont look behind. The monster is there, ready to attack. There is a more demonic ambience sound when it appears behind. When it ends, it's gone.
The third one / the last one: You must have a QUICK reaction time. When you see it keep looking at it without moving, or you die. But why did i say "QUICK"? Well, If you did not look at it for a short ammount of time when you saw it, you just die.
Somewhere at floor 200, there will be holes in the stairs, if you fall in one, you die.
Overall, i would say this game is a pretty scary one. You should try it if you are looking for a good horror game.

I did not expect to get mentioned in this video with the hauntedgarlic part! I have a nostalgic feeling seeing all of these classic games I played before. Side note: I am likely one of the very few people who still making orb games, although slower since life lol. I do plan to make many Roblox horror games in the future! Great video overall!
