In a week, Judy went from rookie parking maid to ace crooked cop with direct connection to the mafia. Talk about a speedrun.

Fun fact: In the movie Frozen, there is a nobleman called the Duke of Weselton, but people accidentally say "Weaseltown." Here in Zootopia, the weasel thief is named Duke Weaselton but Judy accidentally calls him "Weselton." Both characters are voiced by Alan Tudyk

I love that they have hippos as prey when they're actually one of the most vicious animals out there.

In Chief Bogo's defense: Judy is the rookie, it's her first day on the force and detective work isn't what they usually give rookies right off of the bat. Parking duty seems more logical. She also defied a direct order, promised things she couldn't know whether or not she could deliver and the only reason she managed to squeak by there was because Bogo got intimidated by someone who was for all intents and purposes his boss. The 48 hour thing is a bit extreme but movie's got to movie. He was never against Judy, he was dealing with a cop that didn't listen to him and there IS the chain of command to follow.

Also didn't you mean Breaking Ba-a-a-a-ad?

I like this movie for kids because it teaches about the detrimental effects of bullying, stereotypes, and discrimination. Like Judy is bullied and doubted for being a rabbit and Nick was bullied and doubted for being a fox.

Always love how the real bad guy was a play on the “Wolf in sheep's clothing” saying. This is a smart movie in the way it deals with stereotyping and racism in an easy to digest manner for kids, or grown ups.

Rewatching this several times to realize Otterton was yelling night howler because hes a florist and knew the effects of the flower that he got hit with. Also, theres a sticky note on Bellweathers phone for Dougs contact. Lots of small details here and there

I live in Japan and my children are half Japanese half Caucasian and I took my older soon to see this in theaters when this came out and we left the theater having some really deep discussions about race prompt by him. Even at age 7, he recognized some micro aggressions and stereotypes depicted in the film and how he was experiencing similar things as a child who isn’t fully Japanese living in Japanese society. Really an incredible film for breaking down some incredibly complex social commentary for kids!

I love that the back of Judy’s phone has a carrot with a bite taken out instead of an apple!😜👍

Some fun facts, this movie was going to be MUCH *darker* originally where all predators wore shock collars to 'suppress' their carnivore instincts which typically happened when they got excited. As a result all predators were in a state of perpetual fear and depression because they couldn't even be happy. Also Shrews can eat several times their own body weight and are insatiable as a result. With winter coming I hope you guys will be watching Klaus cause it's really one of the best Christmas movies of al time.

This movie navigates the big themes so well. This is the mature Disney that I remember growing up with.

36:38 - "Meowana" is actually a stealth teaser for the next movie, because Moana wouldn't be released until several months AFTER this movie was.

I remember seeing this movie in theaters with my best friend when it came out. As soon as the DMV scene started, the entire audience was just dying. And it accomplished the tricky task of doing slow comedy well.

What’s also funny about the timber wolves scene is that people would play it with their dogs in the room and the dogs would start howling along with the wolves. There’s loads of videos on YouTube of it.

This movie is a great example of how to tackle important issues in a kids movie.

Nick's buddy Fennec giggling away will always be my favourite part. "She hustled you... She hustled you good!"

Oh, and Alan Tudyk as Duke Weasleton, when in Frozen then mocked his character Duke Wesselton by mispronounced it as weasel-town.

RIP Tommy Lister (aka Deebo from Friday)
He voiced the fennec fox (Nick's hustling partner)
