I remember this incident.

I met a SAPS Captain in South Africa once who had 10 spare Beretta magazines on his vest plus the one in his Beretta 92. He'd run out of ammo more than once... he also had an R5 carbine 5.56 with 3 magazines. There have been major incidents in South Africa when police reservists have brought ammo to the scene....😮
