I have the Infiniti-badged hybrid version of this, the M35h. 360hp combined and can do 40mpg. Absolutely love it.

I just sold my Y50 4.5L Fuga 450GT. The very first one in the UK.

Absolutely fantastic cars. And i had mine for 8 years.

Infiniti M hybrid was ahead of it's time. Shame everyone bought German blandness instead.

An M56S is one of my favorite cars. So underrated and so much character.

Ah, another "common as muck" JDM import here in NZ. At the moment you'd be hard pressed to drive to the supermarket here without spotting several of these one of its generation and engine variations - usually a 2.5 - with the 3.5 being the next common - the 3.7 next and lastly the V8's - which are still reasonably regularly seen. The 4.5 litre V8 models are quite interesting. If it's really doing 5km per litre - well that's about 14mpg - so something is desperately wrong with it, or it's had the bejebus thrashed out of it. I'd have expected maybe 9km/l or better for combined driving if the car was healthy. Still I don't know a whole lot about the 3.7 litre VK - I know it does have a bit of a reputation as a gas guzzler, but it shouldn't be that bad.

May change, but at this early stage I'm seeing suspiciously generic glowing comments... and most of the early commenters being women (Emma, Chloe, Greta, Olivia, Danielle) seems dubious. Feels like bots. I'm scratching my head...

Infiniti Q50 in Italy. The name made me amuse, since FUGA means Run Away in Italian!

I live in Southern California and have owned an 09 M35 for four years. It’s been a very comfortable and reliable car with a great V6. It can be a little fun if you want to to be and I still like the way it looks inside and out.

I've been a subscriber for a while now. I really enjoy your videos! When I saw this and read the title, I was a bit surprised... I thought it was my car, except mine isn't a Fuga. I have the Infiniti M56x with the tech package. I love my car so very much! Awesome car and awesome video! Hello from Michigan.

in brazilian portuguese "FUGA" means to escape, like the bad guys are on a escape. Maybe Carlos Ghosn have predicted something...

80% of all YouTube engagement is bots these days. Programmed to have conversations with each other.
It's horrendous

I didn't realize this was sold as a Nissan in other markets. Very cool!

Isn’t that an infinity? One thing that you might not have gotten in the UK is the long wheel version of that vehicle with a 5.6 v8 that thing was amazing

Must say James has become so good at adding humour to his videos lately, the way he described the monkey incident had me in stitches.

Point to note . Tyre pressure is important when it comes to comfort you need to under inflated them as you drive the tyre pressure increases so if your at the specified pressure at normal temps your doing it wrong for comfort 😂 also Japanese roads are not what you think lol😂 trust me if anyone knows it’s it’s me years of living here you’ll quickly work out that out 😢

Amazing car, my aunt had the Infiniti M37 version (probably one of the rarest cars ever as I have only ever seen hers on the road)
After that she bought a Tesla Model S and she regrets it a lot

Dunno if you see this comment, James, but one day you should bring Brad to your Life In Cars series. I think your audience would love to hear his story about why he brought so many weird and wonderful (well, maybe the Cedia wasn't wonderful but it is weird) Japanese cars to UK.

15:36 if it can comfort you, at least in Italian, 'fuga' is mainly used to mean 'escape', such that in fact it's only used to mean *gas* leakage.

I'm in Canada and my uncle has a 2011 Infiniti M56x, which is the same car but with the massive 420hp 5.6L V8 from the Nissan Titan pickup stuffed under the hood. It's a nice car but super super rare. And discontinued.
