Hey! Great video! Thanks for taking the time to show the saw in depth. Based on how you used it so far do you think 3hp would be enough for thick hard wood (like 2” thick purpleheart) without leaving burn marks, or would I need more power? I’m between the Sawstop Pro 3hp and the Sawstop Industrial 5hp. I will get the 5hp if I really need to but there’s a pretty hefty price difference between the 2 so if I don’t need that much power I’d much rather get the Pro 3hp model.

I had back surgery recently and am just now being released from doctors care. I want one of these saws and am searching YT for unboxing vids. Damn, you did not show the placement on the mobile base. I need to know if I can do that. How did you get all that into your shop? Does the trucking company do that?

StopSaw table saws are light duty compared to most other cabinet table saws. Just compare table saw weights. Stop saw charges about a 30% premium for a lighter duty saw.

i just bought one yesterday, , and other than the safety it provides, , its way overpriced, , and weighs a ton, , im taking mine back before i get stuck with it, ,
