This video had a lot of exactly what I was looking for. I liked and subscribed because I’ll attempt to do this my self in the future and I can also relate to the slow and steady progress of a small channel. It all looked great!

We’re general contractors and we do concrete every once in a while and the biggest pour we did was 15 yards, a big driveway and boy talk about stressful lol ended up getting rain that day but in the end it all turned out nice

I love your video. I did a slab a bit larger. But i want to know if it is possible to make 100% mortar stair treads (reinforced of course) instead of concrete stair treads. I leftover and its cheaper than buying concrete treads. Please advise.

The one thing I noticed is you waited to long to cut your joints, recommended is 12-14 hours after finish. Cool day you was probably ok but summer time hot day if you miss this time span you will already have micro cracks they have just not showed up yet. My subs all use early entry blades and we have great results from them
All in all looked good!!

Great video. May I suggest not using the wooden hand made thing you used before the bullfloat. What you’re using is essentially a jitterbug, which brings more cream up to the surface, amazing for finishing but the stones will then drop below the surface and then you might not get an even wash later.

Instead of doing that, wood float or bullfloat one extra time. There were some trowel marks left even after the rinse. You can eliminate those by going over it one extra time and not doing the jitterbug 👍🏽

Great pouring. Well done. Have you tried “seeding “ the agregate? I Need to do a sidewalk but dont wanna spend lots of money on gravel

Do you think an acid wash would have helped at all? Doing this tomorrow and wondering if I should pick up some acid just in case.

CZeść, dziękuję za pokazanie jak to zrobić. U nas w Polsce nie jest to w ogóle popularne. Będę robił 800 m. Szkoda jeszcze że u nas nie ma takich pomp do betonu zastępujących taczki.. Pozdrawiam

One last thing and crucial step you missed my friend was washing the concrete with muriatic acid. When concrete cures it exceeds those white mineral deposits. The acid will clean that all up, then you can seal for a beautiful finish.
