The Wizarding World movie franchise is one of the biggest and most successful in history... but some of the faces have changed along the way. For this list, WatchMojo UK counts down the Harry Potter characters who, for whatever reason, underwent a change of actor partway through the series. To be honest I never really thought much of Voldemort being played by two actors. He wasn't resurrected until the 4th movie so I'll always see Ralph fiennes as that character no matter what.

Genuinely had no idea the Patil twins were replaced.

"And did a solid job of continuing his legacy..."
Book: "Harry, did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?", Dumbledore asked calmly.
Gambon:

Watch Mojo UK, ARE WE A JOKE TO YOU???

"Harris almost passed on the role until his granddaughter convinced him"

More like blackmailed him to take the role

Basically, she'd threatened to never speak to him again if he didn't take the role of Professor Dumbledore

And for some reason, people never do seem to count Dumbledore's brother Aberforth.

I knew there was something different about the portrait of the fat lady in the movies. Dawn French was definitely a weird choice even though she's a fantastic actress!

"Let's finish this the way we started it Tom. Together!"

I had no idea that Tom & Tom were even supposed to be the same character. Same with Pansy, did not associate them as the same character at all. As for Voldemort, I always assumed the back of Quirrell's head was just some bad CGI.

I just assumed the hunchback was a different character

No offence but I think Voldemort’s actor’s change was a good idea

Will Theakston was replaced by Jamie Yeates as Marcus
Jamie Yeates played Marcus Flint the Slytherin Quidditch Captain in the first 2 Harry Potter films.
Will Theakston played the role of the Slytherin Quidditch Seeker Terence Higgs in only the first movie.

#1 still upsets me. Harris was PERFECT!! Gambon didn't in my opinion

Richard Harris will always be the best Albus Dumbledore. He was more closer to Dumbledore in the books than Gambon. In my opinion either Anthony Hopkins, Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi, Michael Caine, Simon Callow, Christopher Lee or Richard Attenborough would had been the perfect choices to play Dumbledore especially Ian McKellen and Simon Callow as both actors are homosexual and Dumbledore himself according to JK Rowling was homosexual. In fact McKellen was the hot favourite to succeed Harris but he turned it down as Harris thought he was a ‘dreadful actor’ and the fact he already played a famous and similar character in Gandalf.

It’s ironic that Lavender is jealous of Hermione in the 6th movie when in book 5 it was Cho Chang that was jealous of Hermione

Why not mention other actors who played Tom Riddle as one of them (Hero Feines ) happens to be Nephew of the adult Voldemort.
