As someone who has done 4 x 7mth harvest seasons in the USA, there was zero info about DOT registering, and all that sort of thing. I certainly would like to know about being an LLC, in case something goes wrong, better loaning your own money to your company and charging interest? Fuel hedging, does that happen over there, or do you buy your own bunker?($1+/gallon difference between winter and summer is worth looking at, that's your wage off fuel alone if you purchase your fuel at the right time of year). Not planning this, pay cheque to pay cheque, it needs thought put into it!

I have 35k saved. 780 credit. No debt. No wife/kids. I’m 27. Have 1 years experience otr. I’m dedicated to driving because the more I drive the more money I make. Any thoughts on what you would do in my situation, if you planned on becoming o/o? Thanks!

14, 000 a week I want to be on that level
Yes it can be done
with the demand super high for drivers it can be done
I’m a truck operator and I make 7, 000 in 4 days and I mostly stay in Oklahoma only sometimes do I travel to fort smith Arkansas but if I haul a flatbed I will make 8, 000 in 3 days. It’s there to be made most truck operators make on a average over 119, 000 a year
If you don’t believe me google search truck operators…and you will see the numbers and that’s before gas prices went up. Believe me I make more than that a year. Every week I work Monday thru Thrusday. I have 3 day weekend every week and when I go on vacation I go on a two week vacation
I’m on the top percentage of hitting 300, 000 a year

Yo7 alao need an accountant and bookkeeper to track your money. Unless you can do it on your own but it will take a lot of time as a additional task.

I am a company driver who lives in the truck. No family, I've saved 40grand. Driving almost always unless I'm on my reset. Making on average 1000 a week doing cross border otr runs. Would you recommend I buy my own truck and be an owner operator?
