I just joined and signed in... This channel is so loaded with practical information about the trucking business. The channel is fair and factual. Fuel: What I do now as company driver is purchase only enough fuel for the load and every once in a while I make sure I have reserved money for a reserve which is not spent unless needed. That means, my company gives me an open card with no gallon restrictions, but I don't use the card and just fill up. I also do not run the engine at night unless temperature requires comfort. I will also shut down after I air up the trailer during drop and hook, in a traffic jam, waiting for a long train, stuff like that - I shut down as much as possible and first quarter this year was 9.23MPG in an 2019 (POS) International LT Day Cab - am a local driver.

Do you hire American drivers?

I had both the same APU’s and I like TK because the sound better when your trying to sleep. Carrier really have a bad sound to them

Why in the world would someone do that??? I wouldn’t even work for a company that offers that option! Figure out how much you want to make and go work for a company that pays that much. Everyone wants to take all of the fun out of trucking
