Una de las razones por las que me gusta Rosalía es porque usa el autotune no como maquillaje, sino como herramienta estética. Ella ya canta bien de por sí. No lo tiene como una necesidad o para "ocultar defectos", lo tiene como complemento para acentuar, para embellecer aún más lo que ya de por sí es bello, lo usa con estilo y con saber hacer. Pero incluso sin él, su voz suena enorme, y su talento, formación y experiencia son palpables. Me alegro de que esté llegando tan lejos, está trayendo algo muy bueno.

I just think she needs WAY more recognition. It's insane, the way she controls her voice, how she knows everything she's doing and how you can feel the emotion from every single note she does. It's just unbelievable to me that she's only topping charts when it's a reggaeton/pop song featuring some other mainstream artists while she has this particular sound, while SHE'S THAT UNIQUE. She created a new sound of latin pop music, distinguishing from the usual. So as much as Con Altura and Yo X Ti Tu X Mi are great, i think people are sleeping on her and paying dust to her other stuff that are not upbeat, i mean: the most conceptual, emotional stuff that has more of the vibe of this cover. Overall i think this mostly happens because even though she's unbelievably talented, english speakers still don't know how or simply don't make an effort to enjoy spanish/latin music that's more focused on emotional and lyrical content, 'cause most of them are not even interested on what she be saying but how it sounds... like if is fun and if they can bop and dance to it, you know what i mean? People need to stop with the "I don't understand what she saying" as if everything is about english and the fact that you don't understand what she be saying is something bad... like??? just search up for some translations if a song of a different language really touches you, this is called ENJOYING MUSIC, and that's exactly what non english speakers do when is the opposite.
