Today, I'm sharing the 40+ items we are putting in our families 72 hour bug out bags with all our survival essentials. With national preparedness month approaching in September, now is the perfect time to make a 72 hour emergency bag. A 72 hour bug out bag is a portable kit that contains items you would require to survive 72 hours when evacuating from a disaster or being asked to leave your home. Whether it is a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, wildfire, chemical spill, or gas leak, you will be able to quickly grab the items you and your family will need. By the way I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old so I will be making kids emergency bugout bags and because we have a dog, I will be making a dog but out bag as well. Hope you enjoy and find helpful.

I have a bug out bag in the closet and a trunk organizer with my bug out stuff in the car so I'll have what I need where ever I am. I have food reserve at home that I update pretty often and I pick up stuff as I see them on sale. I don't have any food in my car yet. It's so hot so I'm leary on keeping food there. I'll see how I can work that out. I also, have my fur baby stuff too. That carry on thing I may need to look into.
