I think what I am loving so much from Samsung phones lately is that they've taken the route of designing wide screen phones instead of long and tall. It just feels more natural to hold a wider phone than a longer one. Also, the design just looks sexier.

I ended up buying the FE because I went looking for the s21 at my local phone store and they didn't have it, and wasn't sure when they were going to get it. My current phone was acting up a lot, so I didn't want to wait that long.
The FE is doing very well. It's fast, sharp, smooth etc. I just wish it was cheaper.

Great video Ella!! Really loving this approach (comparing the phone with 2 devices which make sense due to the FE time of release and their price point). Also appreciate alot on the mention of FE despite having larger battery still does not reflect improvement of batt life compared to s21.

Thank you, Ella, for the very complete review and comparison video. You covered the major issues with both phones. It comes down to Snapdragon vs. Tensor, Reliable OS, and Security updates. At this point, if you really need a phone, then the S21 FE, at a discount, would be excellent. If you can wait, see what Samsung brings to the table with the S22 series, which will be just three weeks away, instead of waiting until October for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, when Google will drop the price in the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Love what you had to say about S21 vs FE version. I just picked up the FE from Amazon at less than $400 which was at the max of my budget. I am not a camera geek. I am coming from the Blackberry Key series and there camera was just okay. I am sure this new phone will give me quite a nice surprise in terms of quality all around. Good job! I've noticed hardly anyone talks about the modems and network connectivity, including WIFI. I get that it's a unique thing depending on factors outside of the phone, but apples to apples comps are worthwhile. And missing in almost everyone's reviews. Food for thought.

Enjoyed this video, I had the S20 FE which I enjoyed but the camera and the way it processed the photos I was really disappointed. I traded it in for the Pixel 6 which I like and yes I had some issues as well. But the January and February updates have fixed everything. Saw your review on the S22 Plus and I’m considering it because I like to try different phones from time to time. I’m also a fan of Google and Samsung phones, thank you!

I bought the S20 FE 5g last year and I love it. It actually has an SD card slot, which I do use. I got the 256gb model, so I have 8gb RAM. As for the phone being heavier, I much prefer it. You get more friction with the right kind of case when you hold it in one hand, and this helps me to not drop the phone. The only reason my phone has met the ground was because it was on my lap when I stood up. My s20 FE does get hot when playing games, I'll admit this. I'm happy to see that they[samsung] didn't completely botch this S21 FE. Although, I do not like that they took away the SD card slot. I use it to dump important stuff to while I use the phone, so I don't rely on cloud using data. 4k videos are too large to store without buying more storage space on the cloud. If I were to drop my phone and it stopped working, all the data on the SD card will be safe, and I can remove it to transfer the files into another device.

Another amazing video Ella. I think the s21fe is a much better value than the google pixel and pixel pro. The pixel series has to many bugs and a not so great fingerprint scanner and no Face ID. Now if we say value I still think the regular s21 is the better value as you can find that phone for around the same price as the s21 fe so I’d go for that.

The aluminium rails on the FE look so so so good. The FE in green is BEAUTIFUL

I was very excited about the Google pixel pro which I did get in white. I tried to ignore all the bugs but I just couldn't, I emeded up returning it and got the s21 fe. My s20 fe was my all time favorite phone this one is right on there althoughI wish I had gotten the purple color.
