The film trilogy is going to end with Ness coming back right before springtrap kills mike and Abby and lights the place on fire finishing springtrap once and for all with his last line being “ THATS JUST A THEORY”

There’s a bit of lore I surprised you didn’t mention. It wasn’t relevant to the theory, but if the movie does take place in 2000, and Mike was twelve when Garrett disappeared, the book’s reveal that he’s 25 in 2000 reveals that Garrett disappeared in 1987.
