E-021 Arrest under section 56, 57, 58 Cr. PC.

1. Procedure when police-Officer deputes subordinate to arrest without warrant:
2. While deputing a subordinate to arrest someone, police officer have to deliver an order in writing to the subordinate.
3. The subordinate police officer should notify to the person he intends to arrest, the offence, reason of arrest, substance of the order and if so required by such person, shall show him the order.
4. Refusal to give name and residence: police officer may arrest such person who refused to give his address or name or such officer has reason to believe to be false.
