I'm an American living in Kherson.
Good report, thank you.
Our partizans, TDF, and of course AFU troops are all heroes that played a huge role in freeing the city from terrorist invaders.

Everyone I know was helping AFU in the way that they could. At a minimum, giving locations of the enemy invaders to AFU.

I escaped in April, through the front lines and ru block posts, as it was extremely dangerous for an American to be there. But many friends survived there for the full 8.5 months of the nightmare.

I'm 100% confident all the terrorists on the left bank, who are now shelling the city and murdering civilians on a daily basis, will also be removed from Ukrainian land.

Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes 🇺🇦.

My heart goes out to the young Ukraine man, only 17 and he was tortured. My god to have to live through that and so young, I hope he finds peace. To me, he has nothing to be ashamed of, nothing.

To the young guy: you went through something most im your age can't watch it even on tv shows. Don't need to reach out to the old friends as this will make you feel bad forever even if they say they forgave you. Live your life to the best and know non of it was your fault. The fact that you're willing to talk about it on the record shows how brave and mature you are.

Of all the US Journalist, Richard Engel is one of the most respectable and reputable journalist. Incredible story telling and graphic illustration. 🎥👍🏽

I can’t imagine the feeling when your freedom and rights are forcibly stolen from you. 🇺🇦💙😔😢

Find that 18 year old and show him what they said, you do what you must to stay alive, when one of yours is taken consider that the enemy knows you, it's then up to you to stay alive and keep going. Great job Richard.

tears roll down unconsciously from my eyes on Kherson's liberation.. people embracing soldiers, putting up their flags back, Ukrainians are the bravest strongest people in the world, some can have the best weapons, but these people's dedication to stay and protect their land is something no weapon can ever match. UKRAINI, the whole world is rooting for your victory!

Richard Engel, thank you from my Ukrainian heart for this documentary and for showing the world what Ukrainians are going through. And thank you to all the people who took their time and watched it. As long as the rest of the world is watching, remembering, and helping - Ukraine is standing and fighting back. I moved to Canada a long time ago and I know that many western taxpayers are annoyed and angry because their governments help Ukraine. And I am thankful to those others who understand why we need to help. You can not be a democratic country halfway and this is what happens when you tolerate and trade with dictatorships like Russia. Please more sanctions on the Mordor and more ammo to Ukraine.

My heart aches for these kids. Such bravery. The young man who gave up his friends should not feel so bad. If they tortured you. Your friends all knew there were risks. #IStandWithUkraine!

This may be one of the most compelling, professional news stories I have ever seen. I can't say enough. The production quality, particularly given the locations' limitations, was just beyond incredible. If this piece doesn't win whatever award for this type of production, I'll eat a Russian rat. Congrats guys, you made a great piece here.

Richard Engel is truly one of the finest, most honest and sincere foreign correspondent of our generation. We are fortunate to have such bright eyes to see the reality in Ukraine. And such bravery from “ordinary” citizens under Russian occupation. Heroes every one of them, even Sacha.
