smg4's mario can handle horror because after his first couple run ins with the fnaf crew, he knows its more annoying to deal with then scary.

but smg4's luigi can only handle scary if he knows he's going to be forced to "deal with it later on" and prefers if mario is there with him.

but like in luigi's mansion if it means "rescuing mario", he will nut up and do it just so he doesn't have to deal with more later on alone.

smg4 luigi isn't like canon luigi who has learned to deal with his fears post luigi mansion but i think that's all the better imo, because if luigi wasn't scared he really wouldn't need mario anymore and they work best when they are together like the brother combo they should be.
