B.E.A.S.T.I.E. - "Boys Entering Anarchistic States Towards Inner Excellence", why did it take 30+ years to learn this?

I've had trouble telling Mike and Ad-Rock's voices apart for years on albums and yet their speaking voices couldn't sound more different. Mike sounds the same and Adam's voice is insanely deeper than you'd believe.

I really love how Ad-Rock pause and makes that face after he says “1992 to 2007”. It’s a testament to how fast time flies and how fragile it is.

Jimmy fallon is the talkshow equivalent of that one guy in a friend group who acts like hes at every party but missed all of them

5:36 Ad-Rock mutter "da faq?" and nobody censored it. I like that.

I miss the boys so bad it hurts my heart to the core. Rip Adam. Im 44 years old and grew up on the boys. Saw them when I was young in Brooklyn in a little hole in the wall venue. Got to rub elbows with all 3. I was also playing music then and contributed some samples and ideas to the punk stuff and so on. Haven’t spoke to any of them since Lalapalooza in the mid 90’s. I was playing backup guitar for P-Funk at the time. That was the last time I saw them all together in one place in person. I love and miss that era with all my heart. And I miss the boys every day.
Your boy, J Bone

I was blessed to see Beastie Boys in 1994 at Lollapalooza.. they are the loudest band I've ever seen in my life. My ears rang for 2 days afterwards... totally worth it too!

There will never be a hip/hop act like these guys again. The way the 3 of them feed of each other was on such a higher level then any one else. So original, perfect, thorough and groundbreaking.

Here's an idea: Re-shoot this scene without Jimmy Fallon.

"Paul's Boutique" will be thirty years old in 2019.

It still sounds like the future of modern music. The Beastie Boys were a truly
class act. Absolutely timeless.

Jimmy can't ever let his guests speak, he has to be in on the story, like he was there.

As a New Yorker I was lucky enough to have seen the three B Boys walking around from time to time when I was young. The best one was on 7th Ave by the Library Church when I was pushing a supermarket cart full of film equipment with a girl I went to class with. These two older guys behind us on bikes were loudly talking about some other guy getting some sort of sneaker. When we hit the light we were side by side and boom one of the guys is Horowitz. I stared slightly and he said to me “what’cha filmin’”? I responded it was a school project and he responded that he hoped it came out cool. Next time I saw him he was w the other B Boys filming a music video on the Houston playground, circa 2003ish.

I understand that if you throw vegetables at the Beastie Boys they'll usually catch them. Except beetroot.

Beastie Boys known to let the beets...

When Jimmy picked up the mic acting like it was a phone, I got second-hand embarrassment.
