The Beastie Boys album Licensed to ill was THE defining album that first threw Hip Hop into the mainstream limelight in the UK and i was one of those 'VW' kids who worshipped that album and them. MCA was a huge part of music and my path in life. Rest In Peace my friend.

I don't live in New York, I'm Oregonian (I live in oregon). But I'm showing much love and respect to Adam MCA Youch and the Beastie Boys. As a Gen Xer I grew up listening to them raise hell and take names. Now MCA is raising hell in Nirvana. And my respect for Jay-Z just skyrocketed, it's always good when New York grown talent shows respect for their predecessors. RIP Adam Youch, and thank you.

Beastie boys were my first concert in Manchester England at the Apollo licence to ill tour with run dmc. And still the best concert I have been too. There is no one out there like them doing hip hop in a fun energetic balls out way and probably never will be, rip MCA

cryn. i was luckyu to party with these guys. MCA was a regular at the 11th street house during the season and we always loved to compare who had more face shots at the bird. miss you Adam.

The man's more hip hop than most so-called "rappers". And its more than skin colour. It's a way of life, and Adam was hip hop through & through. Gutted when I heard of his passing. RIP, man. ;(

Big up MCA, licence to ill in my top albums of all time PAUL REVERE definatly in my top 10 tracks of all time, I remember being 16 and working in peckham, went to the record shop down rye lane and the guy just got a delivery and when I saw it was licence to ill I had to have it, he said it wasn't out for another 3 days but after some begging he sold it to me for a tenner which was half my days wages in those day...well worth it, and still have it on vinyl, bought the cd a few back.

I was at my mom's Friday, because my parents divorced when i was 3 and i choose to visit her, anyway she went online to check her facebook she told me "Do you know Adam Yauch?" I said yeah but i had a shocked face, that's when she told me MCA died. I almost lost it, not crying lost it, but shocked lost it.
