If you add a row below the selected, will the function copy down to the new row?

Mine's not working, the row that was highlighed is the one above where I type the word Complete

How can we apply the same conditional formatting automatically to the data that we add daily ?

Can you just put a drop down menu that allows you to pick complete, not started etc.

Double clicking F4 did not do anything, so I entered the formula manually to reflect yours. But mine does not change the color of the column or any cells

Does this has any constraint? I'm doing the exact same steps for 120000 rows but nothing happens.

This is great - but what if my answers vary? I have a common word "destroy" but it also includes the number of days that the item has been expired. So each cell is different and I can't get the whole row to highlight.

What about i want to highlight the whole row if a cell contains specific text but it has other characters in the text string. For example, i want to highlight the whole row if the cell in column c contains the word "dog", but then if i do that formula, it won't accept only "dog" but it has to be "dog park". I only want to highlight the whole row if the cell in column c has the word "dog" in its text string. What is the formula for that? Please help me. Please reply.

I keep getting a format error even when I'm following this step by step. So frustrating!
