Narcissistic people actually are very good at pretending to care. People with ADHD are authentic and enthusiastic

Ppl don't realize how much work it is just to have good relationships. (Just on the norm without adding any medical/mental issues.) thanks for posting ur content & helping awareness.

Another thing that ADHDers do is tell stories about their own experiences that are similar to the other persons because that's how they relate and connect. While to others the seemingly constant redirecting to themselves can be seen as narcissistic and self absorbed.

I love how you provide solutions to the problems dude.
So many people complain about the issues we have, with no plan how to control them.

I listen and engage but I CANNOT retain! Absolutely NO short term memory function whatsoever.

I’ve been off ALL Psy Meds for over 6 months and just in that short period of time I’ve learned healthy coping skills to deal with ADHD symptoms. I was told I needed to be on meds because I’m basically wired different! I embrace who I am and it does not make my life unmanageable anymore…I am more spritual and emotionally available that I totally forgot what life truly felt like because I was medicated for over 15 years. It’s truly amazing to feel again! ❤

I have ADHD primarily inattentive subtype, and one thing that helps me not interrupt or keeps my brain from sprinting away from a conversation is to make a mental game out of being as attentive as possible. I always look people in the eyes when we're talking regardless, but I kind of turned noticing as much as possible while listening into a game. You can watch how their facial expressions change in tiny ways as the conversation goes on that might tell you things they're not saying out loud.

Or I make it a point to fidget with my fingers, notice as many of the smaller, finer details about how they look, maybe even have lightly if I'm having a particularly difficult time paying attention. It's more a matter of keeping my brain focused on just right different things at the same time that I actually listen and don't interrupt. These tricks all help me pay actual attention and not interrupt nearly as much, maybe they might also help someone who reads this.

Lesson 44: How to understand "normal" people, and abide when interacting, to make them feel better.

Man, you hit the topic right on the nose. I have the exact problem. It's a constant struggle with my relationships. This is a wonderful channel. Thank you so much for this advice. I look forward to trying this with my wife

Yes! I had to learn this by myself a few years ago. Wish I had your videos back then 😅 asking questions is the easiest way to keep the conversation flowing and show that you’re listening

Great choice on music - for anyone interested it's Ludovico Einaudi, great for increasing focus when you work :D

we operate a system where whilst the one person in the house is talking the other writes thoughts on a whiteboard. Then we discuss rhe whiteboard notes after.

This is why I love getting older. Mastering myself slowly in the face of insurmountable odds that I call human daily life and allowing myself to feel comfindent in being so different.. It doesn't get easier but our ability to manage grows.. Beyond our past self's imaginations. To a more fun present us and a future unknown entirely. If I was a seed I'd be terrified being buried in the dark but we know what comes later 😊

I've been getting so frustrated lately because I've suddenly been hit by the algorithm with a thousand videos explaining why I suck and everybody hates me but not telling me how to fix it. I was starting to have an existential crisis because it seemed like I was being told you're fucked forever and there's no solution. Then you got dropped into the mix. I still don't like how much effort is required to do normal things normally but at least it's not impossible anymore. Thank you
