In this video, you will learn how to add mobile joystick input into your Unity game. The on-screen joystick is useful for mobile games because it can make your player move or jump. It isn't a physical joystick, it is more a simulation of a joystick that works by dragging the solid circle. This asset is super cool for mobile game development!

This video will cover the basic script that will include character movement with joystick. Therefore, this video has the easiest way to use mobile joystick input without any issues. However, the reason why joystick player movement is stuttering because the input system isn't configured correctly... Anyway, it's the matter of script settings.

It will be useful if you are a beginner. Go to Unity Asset Store to learn more about Joystick Pack in Unity, which is available for free.

Import the package and create a canvas. You can simply create it by going to hierarchy and right click and locate UI, so you will find the Canvas option.
Drag and drop the fixed joystick into the canvas, not into the scene. Follow the script and you will be able to move your player with on-screen joystick!
