People complaining about the British flag in the corner, new Zealand had a vote on the flag this year, and they voted to keep theirs. It doesn't represent subservience or anything like that, but represents the flag that their soldiers sacraficed their lives under during WW1&2. So get off your high horse and leave it up to them rather than sticking your nose up and acting pathetic.

The decision to keep the current flag was right after the most devastating cyclone to hit Fiji (Winston). I believe the Prime Minister's words were " it is inspiring how the whole of Fiji United behind the noble banner blue in this time of hardship"

The flag also did not change as Fiji had won the Rio Olympics gold medal in 2016 - for 7's Rugby. Imagine trying to change the national flag after that world achievement. Glad the decision to keep the flag prevailed. 💯🇫🇯🥰🇫🇯❤🇫🇯😎

I was following the Fijian flag referendum last year, even know a few people who submitted flags. Kinda surprised by Fiji deciding to ditch the whole thing.

By the way, I think it would be cool if you did something where you explain the etymology of the English names of each of the countries you've covered so far I think it would be really interesting and that lots of people would enjoy it. Something interesting I learned about Melanesia a week or two ago is that the people there have the highest percentage of desinovan DNA at about 5-6% which were a separate human species like Neanderthals that went extinct long time ago. I heard about this from a youtuber called RealLifeLore and from a few archaeology pages on social media it's pretty interesting.

Just noticed a mistake. When referencing shields left and right are switched as the shield is seen from the bearers perspective. Thus the right is left and left is right. Heraldic that is.
