Can't wait to see the overnighter! I own a few pieces of the same kit, great gear for sure.

Great kit, drooling over the TI Canteen.

Nice kit. One thing to consider is to replace the Deet with Picaridin. Research appears to show that it is effective as Deet, but without the risk of damaging gear in the event of a leak. Sawyer also sells a Picaridin product.

Great looking setup. You can't go wrong with titanium. I think that you will like the hiking sticks. I use Leki poles and they really help my aging knees.

Love it! Thanks for showing your load out. Gotta hand it to whoever invented titanium.

Just last night I was going over this very concept with my wife. Appreciate you sharing.

Great video. Fabulous minimalist kit. I love the extra convenience of a 2 person SOL blanket to keep myself warm and I like to carry a straw type filter with a Syl-ny dry bag for extra storage.

Cool kit ! I have been using those sun compasses for a couple years now and they are good to go IMHO. The mini baseplate is really nice working with a map. Thanks for sharing !

That kit has it all covered. I can appreciate not doing the test in the summer... too many bugs. But don't wish the cold weather back too soon. Were just warming up in Atlantic Canada

I need to down size my get home bag and this bag looks interesting. When at work I am 6 miles from home through residential neighborhoods. I have a Maxpedition bag now and it is far too heavy. Thanks for the video.

Nice video. I love mine. I have the G2 attached and packed. The only thing I've done to it is substitute a Kifaru padded shoulder strap for the unpadded one it comes with. Makes a world of difference. Great gear!

I run something similar. Speaking from experience, you might want to add a small brew kit, Coffee or tea sachets, sugar, soup, hot chocolate. Takes up very little space and is very welcome at 04.00 dark when you are getting seriously chilled.
Also I didn't see any tinder for use with the ferro rod. Personally I keep a small bag of cotton wool with petroleum jelly handy. Takes the kerfuffle out of firelighting I find.

Great kit. I need to get one of those Mother holders and eventually a Heavy Cover Canteen..

Great looking kit Terry! Some great gear HC has! If you find the rubber handles give you blister's on your trekking poles opt for the cork handles. No blister's and nice grip! On hot sweaty days the rubber handles would rub my hands raw pretty good.

I think it is awesome that you are taking some tips from ultralight crowd. No sense in carrying things that are heavy that don't need to be. Less weights means you can carry more options as well. Thanks for sharing!

First. TR was correct. I learned the lesson the hard way. When I was a kid a family friend badly injured himself fifty yards from his set up camp. He died where he fell because he had nothing with him. When he was found two days after the incident the rescuers said if he had had just a canteen of water he most likely would have survived.

Outstanding! Thanks for putting that together

Looks good, I carry a similar kit except in a small collapsible daypack. Not much bigger than your pack, but I can easily throw an extra jacket in and I prefer the carry method.

That's a superb looking kit! I only recently heard about the Mother carrier; I have a few similar rigs set up around Maxpedition or Self Reliance/Pathfinder water bottle bags. The Mother looks terrific, expensive but as they say, buy once cry once. Maybe I'll try one down the road.
